LGBTQ+ owned studio

Website design from a studio that gets it.

Web X Design Studio is owned and run by a gay man in a long-term relationship. If you would simply rather work with someone from the LGBTQ+ community, that is exactly what you get here, alongside the same fixed-price, personal service every client receives.

01 / A note from Darren

Why this page exists.

I am gay, and I have been with my partner for a long time. Web X Design Studio is my business, and I run it exactly the same way for every client. This page exists because I know some LGBTQ+ business owners would simply rather work with somebody from the community, and there is nothing wrong with that preference.

You will not get a different service, a different price, or a rainbow logo bolted onto your site because of this page. You will get the same fixed-price process, the same attention to detail, and a designer who will never make you explain or justify who you are or who your business serves.

To be equally clear: Web X works with all kinds of businesses, and always will. This page is simply here for anyone searching for a gay or LGBTQ+ owned web designer to find one.

“I would recommend Darren to anyone starting a business that needs a website and isn't sure what they should be doing.”

02 / What that actually means

Small things that make a difference.

None of this is about a rainbow flag on a website. It is about the small assumptions that never need making.

No explaining required. Whether your business serves the LGBTQ+ community directly or you simply are part of it yourself, you will not need to educate your designer first.

Inclusive by default. Imagery, wording and forms that do not assume a straight couple or a gendered default, without you having to ask for it specifically.

A studio that gives back. Web X builds a limited number of free websites each year for charities and community causes, LGBTQ+ organisations included.

Still a serious business decision. Shared identity is a nice-to-have, not a substitute for a website that actually works. You still get the fixed price, the honesty, and the finished job.

From our first discussion to the site going live took only 10 days. Our online enquiries and orders have increased dramatically. Choosing Web X Design Studio was one of the best business decisions we have made.

03 / The same services, for your business

Everything the studio does, exactly as normal.

There is no separate LGBTQ+ package. It is the same fixed-price services everyone else gets, from the same person.

04 / Straight answers

Questions we get asked about this page.

If there is something else you want to know before getting in touch, just ask on the call.

Yes. The studio is owned and run by a gay man. It is a genuinely small business, not a large agency with a diversity programme, so you are dealing directly with the owner from the first call.

No, and we never will. Web X works with all kinds of small businesses. This page exists purely so that anyone who would prefer to work with an LGBTQ+ owned studio can find one easily.

No. Every package and price on this site is exactly the same regardless of who you are or why you got in touch. See the real prices on our pricing page.

Yes. Things like gender-neutral form fields, imagery that does not default to a straight couple, and wording that does not make assumptions about your customers, all come as standard when it is relevant to your business, not as a paid extra.

We build a limited number of free websites each year for charities and non-profits, and LGBTQ+ organisations are very welcome to apply. You can read more on our giving back page.

We are based in Hartley Wintney in Hampshire and work with clients across the UK and overseas, including Australia. Local clients are welcome to meet in person, and everybody else gets a video call and exactly the same attention.
