All our websites come with a ‘Content Delivery Network’ delivered through Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloudfront. What this means is that a copy of your website is stored in more than 200 locations around the world. If you have foreign customers, you don’t want them coming all the way to the UK to access your website – that will be slow. Having a copy in multiple points around the world means that no matter where your website visitor is, the performance for them is going to be lightning quick.

Your customers are generally going to be in the UK. You need your servers close to your customers for a quick response. Our standard servers are all in London. If your customers are predominantly elsewhere, we can establish the server close to them.

You should not be penalised for having a successful business or website. Some hosting companies will limit the number of visitors or amount of ‘bandwidth’ your website can accept per month. Malware, or malicious pieces of software, are what hackers use to steal data and cause other damage. We regularly scan for the presence of any malware and will pro-actively remove it if any is detected.

Just in case there is a major issue, we backup your website and store a copy away from the hosting servers themselves. This way, if there is an issue with the data centres where your website is hosted, we always have a fallback copy we can use to get you up and running. You should not rely on a service where your website and backups are stored together. If you lose the website, chances are you will lose the backups as well i.e. you’re going to be in a very bad place!
